Panchadhara Kalasam

The Panchadara Kalasa is an extremely popular mango type, which is excellent for eating fresh or creating juice from. The reason for its popularity is that it has a very high concentration of naturally occurring sugar as well as an abundance of juice in the flesh of the mango; therefore, the Panchadara Kalasa is a great mango variety to use for juice production because it has a very soft, smooth, and fibrous-flesh maize that gives a refreshing and flavourful experience when consumed as juice. When the mangoes are ripe, they develop a light yellow to greenish hue; therefore, when the mangoes become soft to the touch, they are considered to be at their optimum level of ripeness, and they will produce the best tasting and juiciness of the mango fruit.

Panchadara Kalasa mangoes will only last three or four days when stored in the refrigerator. Therefore, it is recommended that they be consumed shortly after purchasing them in order to realise their best flavour and aromatic characteristics. They are a very economical mango type for families or bulk consumers; they are great for producing excellent quality homemade mango juices, during the summer months, using three to four mangoes per kilogram.
